Bespoke stained glass windows, made in Paris
Every panel is drawn, cut, leaded and assembled by hand in my Paris workshop. Nothing is reproduced from a catalogue: the design comes from your space, its light and the way you live in it.
A panel designed for your space
A commission starts with a site visit or a study of the plans. I look at how the opening faces, the light it receives through the day, the view to be screened, the colours already in the room. The design grows out of that reading.
A scale model follows, then a full-size cartoon that serves as the cutting template. You approve the drawing, the glass palette and the lead gauge before a single piece is cut.
Glass and techniques
I work mainly in mouth-blown glass, whose irregularities and bubbles give a panel its depth — no two sheets return light in quite the same way. Depending on the project I also use antique, cathedral, opalescent and acid-etched glass.
Assembly is done in traditional lead came, the gauge chosen to suit the drawing. Grisaille and enamel, fired in the kiln, add modelling, shadow and painted detail.
Where contemporary stained glass belongs
Stained glass is not confined to windows. It fills a front-door transom, glazes a steel or timber internal screen, divides two rooms as a partition, forms a balustrade, a backlit headboard or a wall panel.
It is also an answer to an unwanted view: where a net curtain dulls a room, a stained glass panel screens the outside while keeping — and transforming — the light.
Private clients, architects and retail
I work with private clients on single pieces, with interior architects on full renovations, and with boutiques, hotels and restaurants looking for a visual signature of their own.
Commissions leave the Paris workshop for destinations across France and abroad. Installation is either carried out by me or coordinated with your joiner or metalworker.
Lead times and budget
Cost depends on surface area, the number of glass pieces, the intricacy of the design and the painted techniques involved — a bold graphic composition and a painted figurative panel are not priced alike.
