Art Deco stained glass: geometry and lines of light

Art Deco stained glass: geometry and lines of light

My work draws on the Art Deco aesthetic, a period in which stained glass freed itself from complex figurative detail to focus on the strength of line, the rhythm of compositions and the interplay of textures. My creative proposals are built around several essential principles: — The rigour of line: structured compositions, based on plays of symmetry, fan-shaped motifs or clean geometric grids that integrate naturally into contemporary architecture. — The contrast of textures: the use of patterned, ribbed or cathedral glass allows light to be sculpted without obscuring the view. The choice of textures creates a unique vibration that shifts throughout the hours of the day. — A controlled colour palette: whether entirely colourless panels playing solely on transparency and opacity, or projects pairing bursts of vivid colour with more neutral tones, every shade is chosen to converse with your space. Bespoke projects: each piece of stained glass is conceived for a specific place — a transom, an interior door, a window or a room divider. The proposals I draw adapt to the dimensions of your openings and to the light of your interior. Every piece is made entirely in the workshop, following the traditional techniques of glasswork.
